Aloo Tikki Chat Recipe

Aloo Tikki chat is very popular in India. Aloo tikki chat is very tasty and easy to make dish.
Here is the recipe for making aloo tikki chat. All ingredients are for the family of 3 members, you can modiiy quantity according to your requirement.


Ingredients for Aloo tikki:

  • 6 boiled potatoes
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ghee/butter/oil to fry
Ingredients for green chatni
  • a bunch of fresh coriander
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 lemon
  • salt to taste
Ingredients for tamarind(imli) chatni
  • tamarind pulp 
  • fennel seeds
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
Other ingredients

  • 500 gm curd
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 cup bhujiya sev
Recipe:

First mash all the potatoes well and add 1 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder and salt to taste. Now mix all ingredients well. make mall balls and press them gently to  flatten them. Now heat the pan and grease it with butter/ oil/ ghee and place your aloo tikki on it. cook to both sides till it become golden brown. Now your tikki is ready.

For making green chatni, place fresh coriander leaves into the mixer grinder, along with 2 green chili, salt to taste. and squeeze 1 lemon to it. Now grind all the ingredients , you can also add little water to make smooth chatni. Now your green chatni is ready.

For making tamarind chatni (imli chatni), heat the pan and add 1 tsp oil. when oil is heated add fennel seeds and then add tamarind pulp. add some water to it. after some time add salt to taste, 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp red chili powder and mix it well. let it simmer on the medium flame till the chatni become thick. after 10 min your tamarind chatni is ready 

Now take a plate and place 2 tikki on it. Put some curd on it, them add green chatni and tamarind chatni on to it. sprinkle some chopped onion and bhujiya sev on it. Your aloo tikki chat is ready.
